Yes and all credit to you for appreciating that - many well paid analysts seem to be completely blind to it. But you’re missing (or evading perhaps?) the underlying cause of it: That the rentier class who have extracted massive wealth from society via the manipulation of asset price inflation in both the equity and property markets are no longer able to do this as those bubbles are on the point of bursting. They are therefore now manipulating the oil futures market to extract wealth from that. The main point is that these people are not contributing one gramme of value for all the wealth they extract from these markets.

Yes but you are not going to “Solve the credit/money problem” in an unregulated market. The romantic ideal of the free market is Bentham’s “greatest happiness to the greatest number”. The reality is that the big players are able to manipulate to their benefit and the detriment of everyone else.

The outcome of this will not be a solution but another burst bubble. And these parasites will move on to continue hoovering up the planet’s wealth in some other way.
